Description: On 3 April 2006, the Government of the Republic of Guatemala notified, in document G/TBT/N/GTM/39, RTCA No. 067-06/RTCA No. 67.01.31:06: "Processed foods and beverages. Procedures for sanitary registration and authorization", the aim of which is to establish procedures for the sanitary registration and authorization of processed foods and beverages.

The Technical Regulation applies to processed foods marketed in the States Parties, which are sold as such to consumers.

It does not apply to non-processed foods, raw materials or food additives.

Ready-to-eat processed foods that are packaged when the product is ordered, requested or purchased by the final consumer are excluded.

The purpose of the present Addendum is to notify WTO Members that this Technical Regulation has been updated and that there will be a comment period of 60 days as from the date of notification.
